Getting ‘Unstuck’ – Let It Go – Part 1

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Feeling ‘stuck’ in life is one of those things that can bog us right down, and leave us feeling powerless. Yet, there’s always a way through.

How? Two ways: forgiveness and faith. Guilt that follows failure can paralyze you, but forgiveness sets you free. Your energy and creativity will return. There are two-dimensions to forgiveness: First, receive God’s forgiveness for your failures. He chooses to forget them (Isaiah 43:25), so why hold on? Whether it’s things you’ve done, or things you haven’t done, God wants you to give that guilt to Him. Second, you must forgive anyone who’s failed you—as hard as that may be, and however long that may take, you are severing the chains of your past by putting forgiveness into action.

And faith. How can faith get us out of that stuck place? Well, acting in spite of your feelings is a very rewarding thing to do. God promises new life (2 Cor. 5:17), so when your past wreaks havoc on your mind, stop and think: Does this match up to what God wants for me? Act like you believe, even if you don’t feel up to it, and God will reward your faith. ‘He rewards those who earnestly seek him.’ (Hebrews 11:6).

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to forgive and let things go and move on and get on track with Your things You would have me do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
