Are You An Answer?

“I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Matthew 25:36

Have you ever stopped to really contemplate how God may be using you to draw others to Himself? Somewhere between our initial zeal at the time of salvation and the road we find ourselves on when life “just happens,” we start to lose focus.

As the Lord meets our needs we should be reminded that we are in a unique position to meet the needs of others. You very well may be God’s answer to someone else’s prayer. It is an incomprehensible thought that the very God of this universe would choose to work through common man. Our God can do anything He desires and He can use any means of His choosing to bring about that which He wills and establishes; yet still He chooses to work through sinful man.

In 1 Samuel 12:10-11, when the people cried out to the Lord for deliverance, the Lord sent His servants to deliver the people. “They cried out to the LORD and said, ‘We have sinned because we have forsaken the LORD and have served the Baals and the Ashtaroth; but now deliver us from the hands of our enemies, and we will serve You.’ “Then the LORD sent Jerubbaal and Bedan and Jephthah and Samuel, and delivered you from the hands of your enemies all around, so that you lived in security.

In Judges 3:9 we see the Lord sending Othniel to deliver the sons of Israel, “When the sons of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer for the sons of Israel to deliver them, Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.”

God works through common man; common woman. Always be ready to go where the Lord is leading because you may be the very vessel He is choosing to be the answer to prayer for others crying out. Pray, listen and then walk in obedience. Be an answer to someone’s prayer.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, my heart is open and my feet ready. I will go where You send me in the power of Jesus’ Name, Amen.
