The Truth Of Creation – Part 1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
A growing number of educators and scientists around the world believe the Bible account of creation and are pointing us back to the truth of these words: ‘In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.’ The question ‘evolution or creation?’ becomes clearer when you rephrase it as ‘accident or design?’ Sir Fred Hoyle, professor of astronomy at Cambridge University, said: ‘The chance that higher life forms might have emerged in this way [through evolution] is comparable to the chance that a tornado sweeping through a junkyard might assemble a Boeing 747 from the materials therein.’ He continues: ‘The likelihood of the formation of life from inanimate matter is one out of 1040,000…It is big enough to bury Darwin and the whole theory of evolution. There was no primeval soup, neither on this planet nor on any other, and if the beginnings of life were not random, they must therefore have been the product of purposeful intelligence.’ Even evolutionist Stephen Hawking, one of the most respected scientists since Albert Einstein, acknowledged: ‘The universe and the laws of physics seem to have been specifically designed for us. If any one of about 40 physical qualities had more than slightly different values, life as we know it could not exist: either atoms would not be stable, or they wouldn’t combine into molecules, or the stars wouldn’t form the heavier elements, or the universe would collapse before life could develop.’ As a Bible believer, never apologize or compromise when it comes to the truth that says, ‘In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.’

I love this new series! I’m not sure what 1040,000… means? Is it 1 times ten to the 40 th power ? I know the number is staggering.. like 1 with 20 zeros behind it.

See it on Amazon by looking up “Is Evolution Compatible With Christianity?” I was a Biology teacher at Concordia Lutheran High School for at least 37 of my 42 years there. I was also teaching Creation Apologetics. I would appreciate you doing a review of my book on your website. If you have any sway with CPH, recommend it. They actually have one resource from 1970 still on sale. Perhaps it is time for a more recent book to be available for confirmands/recent graduates/ Youth Groups. thanks for considering this. I would add that creation and evolution can coexist. There are many examples of animals and plants that have evolved in the last 100 years. That is part of the system that was created and put in place by God.
My wife Markie and I are listening to “Code Breaker” by Walter Isaacson, the story of Jennifer Daubna and the unraveling of RNA and CRISPR technology. Interestingly the opening lines of the book quote Genesis 1:1. We haven’t finished, but the intricacies of the building blocks of life certainly point to a much higher intelligence.
