“A generous person is going to prosper. When we refresh others, we ourselves will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25

Hi, everyone, happy Friday! You know, I was thinking so often we tend to think about blessings as something that is good for us, it’s something that comes to us. And yet, as I was here in the office today, so many blessings that have been coming to us actually are blessings that are going to turn around and go right out to be a blessing to others, and that made me think about Proverbs 11:25, which says, “A generous person is going to prosper. When we refresh others, we ourselves will be refreshed.”

You know, that’s a great principle about the way that God works with us, as he gives us blessings, those blessings are given so that we can be a blessing to others. So, as you head into this weekend, would you just pause and consider how you might be blessed in order to be a blessing to someone this weekend? Would you pray with me as we ask God to open up an opportunity for us to bless someone this weekend?

Prayer
Lord, thank you very much for the many blessings that You pour out in our lives. The way that You bless us, the way that You always take care of us, You always provide for all that we need. And you give us these things not only for our own needs, but you also give us generously so that we can give to others. And so we ask that you would open our eyes and open up an opportunity for us to not just think about blessings that are coming to us, but to think about those blessings that you’re working through us – through our words, through our actions, through taking time to love and to care for someone else in Your name. We pray this in the strong, in the mighty risen name of our Savior, Jesus Christ..
