Happy Friday. So let me ask you, what are your plans this weekend? Maybe you’ve made some. Maybe you are so glad that you don’t have any plans this weekend and you plan to kick your feet up and relax. Well, in either case, can I just encourage you this weekend to open up your calendar to the Lord? You see, Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”

The truth is, so many of our plans often don’t go as intended, but the Lord’s strategic work always does. So before you get too far into this weekend, let’s open up our calendars to Him.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, there are ways and plans that we are busy making and things that we want to attain. And yet, let us pause first and just consider the fact that it’s Your purpose that’s going to reign in our life and in this world.

And so we submit our plans and our intentions to You and ask that You would bless them, that You would guide them, and that, most importantly, Lord, that we would be able to open our eyes and see ways that You would have us go, plans that You might have us make or consider this weekend. And in that confidence of Your tender love and care, would You allow us to enjoy the blessings that You have for us each and every day throughout this weekend and into next week?
