“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one falls the other can help. Two people can keep warm and can stand back-to-back when attacked.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9)

You may have heard this phrase, “If you want to go fast…go alone, if you want to go far, take someone with you.”

There is so much truth in that! While you may be able to move more quickly alone, the challenges and hardships that we encounter often require an extra set of hands, another perspective, and the encouragement of fellowship.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 makes this point when it states, “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one falls the other can help. Two people can keep warm and can stand back-to-back when attacked.”

How is your journey in life? Is it a fast-paced solo trip, or do you have some good, trusted travel buddies with you? Maybe it’s time to slow it down, invest in some travel buddies, and go farther than you could alone.

Let’s pray for that right now.

God, would You please bring to each and every one of us that sense of knowing that we can walk with one another, that You actually provide others to help us along this journey, and in those places where we are isolated and alone.

Open our eyes to see those who You would bring to be a part of this journey. Bless us and keep us as we are stronger together in You, and it’s in Your holy and precious name we pray. Amen.
