“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

Merry Christmas, everyone! In Isaiah 9:6 we read these words: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
From all of us at Lutheran Church Charities, Merry Christmas!
Jesus is born. He is the Savior of the world.
Prayer
Lord, we unite our hearts in celebration this day. We give You great thanks and praise and worship for sending Your Son Jesus to come to this world, to be our Savior. We do celebrate You as Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Prince of Peace. Fill our hearts with the true joy of Christmas and light the darkness of this world to resonate the truth that we know is found in You and in You alone.
We celebrate You and thank You, that You have come to save your people. We pray this now in Jesus’ name. Amen.
That album Sunshine and Snowflakes, is still in my house! It was my son Nathan’s favorite when he was in the children’s choir at Trinity Lutheran School, Hicksville NY circa 1975. He is now 56! I don’t have the heart to throw it away even though I have no record player. Brought great memories to mind. I also used it for a number of years when teaching pre-schoolers.
Blessings on your ministry.
