Happy Friday, everyone. I want you to imagine that the phone rings and you pick it up, and it is a special mission, right? Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun! Well, guess what? God’s calling you. Ephesians 2:10 says it very clearly, “For you are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God Himself prepared in advance for you to do.”

The phone call is yours. The calling is yours. The mission is one that God wants to accomplish with you. What an exciting God we have! I want you to think about that as we go into this weekend. Don’t think about the big master start-to-finish plan, break it down. What’s that phone call asking you to do next? What’s that phone call asking you to do this weekend?

The phone’s ringing. Pick it up. We’re on a mission. And it’s not impossible. It’s possible.

Prayer
God, we thank You for calling us to serve You this weekend, every day, for the mission that You have for us. These works that You have prepared in advance for us to do.

Fill us with joy, with courage, and with open ears and eyes wide open. That we might be able to follow You, to see You, to hear You, and to partner with You. To collaborate with You in Your lead as You give and set before us this mission to proclaim You as the one true God and the God who loves. The God who forgives and the God who heals.

So send us out this weekend with that confidence on this mission. It’s in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
