Happy Friday, everyone. You know, the world is heavy. Headlines weigh us down. There are shutdowns, shootings, wars, division. It seems like we’ve become a people of strife and discontent. Meanwhile, inside of us – fear, fatigue, frustration. I just want you to know that Jesus sees it. He names it. He says, “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Jesus isn’t offering an escape. He’s not asking us to be in denial. It’s a promise. It’s actually an exchange. We hand over our worry and fear to Jesus, and in exchange, He gives us peace, relief so that we can rest mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. So throughout this weekend, unload the burden of the week by confessing to Jesus your faith and trust in Him.
And can I encourage you to not just think those words about this great exchange, but also to say them out loud this weekend: “Jesus, you got me. I trust you.” The world shakes, but Jesus won’t. His presence is a solid rock in which we can find refuge.
Prayer
Jesus, you got me. And I trust you. Amen.
ITTT
Jesus, you got me – And I Trust You. Amen
I begin each and every day with this short little Prayer, that means so much. It gives me a calm peaceful beginning, knowing that Jesus is always there to watch over me. It also gives me strength knowing I am never alone in my struggles. Thank you “Daily Devotion” for giving me strength and piece of mind as I try to live the life, Jesus would have me live.
Thank you – this came to me at the perfect time when I needed to hear your words and say those words out loud. I felt peace and grace at that moment and will continue to say this as I need it in the next few weeks. God Bless.
I have a stressful weekend coming up and this was the words I needed. Jesus you got me, and I trust you – as always !
