Happy Friday, everyone. You know, many of you are probably heading to the malls, and others of you are saying, “No way, I’m not going anywhere near that!” But I pray that your Christmas was a wonderful celebration. And now, as we’re starting to turn our attention toward the New Year, we remember that Christmas wasn’t just kind of a ‘one’ event where it was ‘one and done,’ and everything just kind of went back to normal.
The actuality is that Christ was on the move. His ministry had begun as He came to earth. It wasn’t public yet, but He was beginning already. And this change of hearts and this change began to happen with the Wise Men showing up to see this baby Jesus, the star that they had followed that was over that place. And then, being warned in a dream, Joseph immediately grabbed the baby Jesus and Mary and fled out of Egypt, fulfilling Hosea, which prophesied that God would call His Son out of Egypt.
You know, sometimes going into the New Year, it’s a really good thing for us to pay attention, to zoom in, and to listen to where God may be calling us. And I pray, as you consider 2026, that you might listen to the Lord’s voice, be in His Word, and consider the things that He has for you ahead—and be sure to follow.
Prayer
Lord, thank You very much for Christmas, and thank You for a new year, and we thank You for Your calling on our lives. Bless and keep us now, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
