Goodbye, ’25. Hello, ’26. – December 31, 2025

2025-12-31 PCS

As this year draws to a close, I want to invite you to be a part of the good work God is doing through Lutheran Church Charities. Every devotion, every deployment, every act of comfort and care happens because of generous partners like you.

You can visit the link in this email or click below in the comments to go to our 12/31 BEHIND EVERY GOOD DEED page and make your year-end gift.

Your support helps share the mercy, compassion, presence, and proclamation of Jesus Christ where compassion cannot wait.

So, it’s another year, another turn around the sun. Another chapter added to the story God is writing in and through our lives. Some parts of 2025 were filled with celebration—with new life, new beginnings, answered prayers, and unexpected blessings. But other parts may have brought grief, confusion, waiting, or the kind of stretching that leaves you changed.

But one thing is certain: God was with us.
And behind every good deed, every comforting word, every act of generosity, every step of service, He was there—guiding, providing, holding all things together. As stated so clearly in Colossians 3: “Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

December 31st is more than a celebration of fireworks or countdowns. It’s a moment to reflect and reset, to pause and say, thank you, Lord, for all you carried us through. Use us, Lord, for all you’ve prepared in the year to come.

Behind every good deed of 2025 was a person who said yes.
A volunteer who showed up.
A donor who gave.
A staff member who responded to a need.
A pastor who prayed.
And behind all of them was Jesus.

At Lutheran Church Charities, we are closing this year with deep gratitude for the work, the growth, and the stories of transformation—but more than anything, for the people behind every good deed. And tomorrow, we rise and begin again. Same mission. New mercies. With fresh strength.

Prayer
Lord of every season, thank You for walking with us through this year—every high and every low. Thank You for using us as instruments of Your grace and Your goodness. As we say goodbye to 2025 and step into 2026, fill us with anticipation, faith, and the resolve to serve in Your name behind every good deed we offer may Your love be clearly seen. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
