Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Psalm 119:105

You know, as a kid growing up, I loved to play with these. These are Legos. And I recently came across this bag, which has some very specific Legos all put together. The only problem is I’ve been kind of fiddling around with them and I feel like all I have is a bunch of pieces. I don’t know what this is supposed to make – I don’t have any instructions.

You know, that’s what life can feel like sometimes. Life can feel like we got a bunch of pieces and we don’t really know how it all fits together. And for times like that, when it’s hard for us to see, the best place for us to go is recommended to us in Psalm 119:105, where it says, “God’s Word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path”.

You know, I want to encourage you this weekend to spend some moments in God’s Word and allow His word to illuminate some of those places that may previously have been dark to you. Gain some understanding, some wisdom, and be assured of His love for you this weekend.

Prayer
Dear Lord, as we take these first steps into 2024, there’s a lot of pieces sometimes that we’re holding that we’re not really sure or clear on how they come together. But we know that You know, and we trust You and we love You, and we so thank You for loving us. Help us as we spend time in Your word, to discover more clarity to our lives and to the purpose for which You are working and accomplishing things for us and through us. It’s in Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen
