Change the World by Your Relationship

“For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1

Jesus’ disciples, the ones he called into a relationship with him as talmidim, made such an impact on the province of Asia Minor, the most pagan of all the Roman provinces, that it became the most Christian province in the Roman Empire. Jesus desires the same kind of relationship with his disciples today. To have that kind of relationship in our world means that we must:

• Know God’s Word and Jesus’ interpretation of it. (His Mind, Method, Manner, and Ministry)
• Be passionate in our devotion to that Word and Jesus’ example.
• Follow him even if we are not sure of the final destination.
• Live by his teaching, which means we must know that teaching well.
• Be obsessed with being like him as much as is humanly possible.
• Develop meaningful relationships with others so that they will observe us and seek to imitate our love, devotion to God, and our Jesus-like lifestyle.

By God’s grace, people with totally committed relationships to Christ can change the most pagan culture – including our own. By God’s grace – You and I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Prayer
Heavenly Father – Your life has made all the difference in the world to me – I have eternity with You. Please help me to share that with others who do not know You! Let them see Your love and Your compassion in my life! In Jesus’ Name, Amen

  1. Today’s devotion touched my heart. We done know when Jesus will return so we need to follow His example to bring the saving knowledge of Christ to everyone we meet. I’m getting my daily devotions a day later. I’ll get this devotion tomorrow in my email. This started when the time changed.
