“How great is our God! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!” (Psalm 147:5)
I recently was working with a complex dilemma at work, and I was really into it. I worked and worked over the course of three days until it was completed, and when I finished, I was drained. I had nothing left. You see, my power is limited, and my best understanding still misses full comprehension.
Many times, it’s only after the fact of a matter that I can truly see what could or should have been done or decided. But consider with me that God’s power has no limits and has no match. His understanding is beyond any wisdom I have ever encountered in this entire world.
Have you ever found yourself facing a difficult life challenge that takes you to the point where even your best thoughts and energetic determination meets your limit? Have you ever struggled to make sense of something, only to discover more questions than answers—or more dilemmas than solutions? Consider this: that doesn’t happen to God. Ever.
“How great is our God! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!” (Psalm 147:5) Certainly, God’s wisdom and power deserve our admiration and worship. Take a moment to worship Him. He is truly worthy to be praised.
Prayer
Lord, Your power and wisdom surpass all understanding. Help us to trust in You when we reach our limits, knowing that You are always in control. Amen.
If you consider that God is and created every detail of existence, both seen and unseen, also then consider that He wants you to seek his counsel like a child asks guidance from his earthly father; and like that earthly father He freely gives you all you need to know, lovingly, in the correct amount, in the perfect time, manner, and place.
