Why We Is Hard – June 15, 2026

2026-06-15-PCS

“Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interest of others.” (Philippians 2:4)

Let’s be honest. We sounds good, but we is hard.

We requires dependance and we like control.

We makes us vulnerable. And we don’t like getting hurt.

We takes time and people slow things down. And the reason we doesn’t come easily isn’t because we weren’t made for we.

It’s because sin keeps whispering, “You’re on your own.” Sin tells us independence is safer. That needing help is weakness. That isolation is easier.

But isolation isn’t strength. It’s loneliness simply wearing a disguise.

We is where love happens. And yes, where wounds can happen too.

But God never promised safety through isolation. But He does promise life through community.

Prayer
Lord, forgive us for listening to the lie that we are on our own. Turn our hearts outward again toward You and toward each other. Teach us to trust the gift of
we. Amen.
