“I in them and You in Me, so that they may be brought to complete unity.” (John 17:23)

Here’s the good news: Jesus does not ask us to fix We. He recreates it.

Jesus lived We when we could not. He depended completely on His Father. He chose to work with others. He opened Himself to betrayal and loss.

He did the hard work of love all the way to the cross.

Jesus didn’t protect Himself from pain. He stepped into it. And then He rose.

And after His resurrection, He didn’t keep the message to Himself. He entrusted it to people, ordinary people, broken people, people who needed We just as much as we do.

We is not something we achieve.

We is something Jesus gives. Before it’s something we live, it’s something He has already done.

That’s great news for you and for me. Because we need We.

Prayer
Jesus, thank you for living the We we could not. Unite us again in Your grace, Your forgiveness and Your life. Help us rest in what You have already accomplished. It’s in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
