After Every Good Friday and Easter Saturday, There’s Always an Easter – April 3, 2021

After Every Good Friday and Easter Saturday, There’s Always an Easter

And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 1 Corinthians 15:17

It is Saturday. Christ is in the tomb. Now what are we going to do? We have observed Good Friday and now Easter Saturday. The world may ask, “What’s so good about Good Friday and Easter Saturday?” When those around us do say this, we can boldly and joyfully say, “Easter is coming!” We know this fact because we have “read the last chapter first!” So Good Friday and Easter Saturday are not games of “Let’s pretend Christ didn’t rise”. It is a Fact that after every Good Friday and Easter Saturday, there’s always an Easter!
But what about you and me, today and tomorrow and each day ahead of us? Have you ever felt that you’ve become stuck on “Good Friday”? Me too. Sickness, struggles, pains, deaths, viruses, arguments, accidents, and on and on. Imagine how long Saturday must have seemed to Christ’s followers who had placed hope in Him. Like those disciples, do we ever shout or whimper or feel like no one cares? Me too!
But rejoice, dear friends, the Lord has not forsaken us! Because of his death, and Resurrection, He has made us people of the Resurrection! We know how it all turns out! And He remembers us, even when we fail to remember His presence among us!
See you tomorrow at the Empty Tomb

Prayer
Father you have promised us that after Good Friday and Easter Saturday comes Easter Sunday!
Thank You for making us people of the Resurrection! In Jesus’ Name, Amen
